Greening London

So many parts of London are finding ways to increase greening.

The relatively simple interventions of boardwalks and planting by Howells and The Eden Project for Canary Wharf Group have made a transformational improvement to Canary Wharf, increasing planting, biodiversity, shade, seating and drawing people closer to the water.

Similarly the already well-used new bridge by Asif Khan has become an instant hit in Surrey Quays and the Evolution Garden at the Natural History Museum by J&L Gibbons with Feilden Fowles is absolutely terrific.

These projects together with Elephant Park, King’s Cross Central and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park means that London is suddenly blessed with some truly outstanding public realm.
